Hot Drinks, Starbucks style

Hot Apple Pie in a Mug

8 oz. apple cider
2 Tbs. cinnamon syrup
Whipped Cream
Caramel sauce

Heat cider and cinnamon syrup* until steaming. Squirt with whipped cream and drizzle with caramel sauce.

Hot Pumpkin Pie in a Mug

8 oz. milk
3 Tbs. pumpkin puree
2 Tbs. cinnamon syrup
1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
Whipped cream
Caramel sauce

Whisk milk, cinnamon syrup* and spice in mug. Whisk in pumpkin puree. Heat until steaming. Top with whipped cream and drizzle with caramel sauce. You can also add 2 oz. of espresso to make a pumpkin latte.

*Cinnamon syrup can be purchased in the coffee section of many grocery stores, or you can make your own. Place 7-10 cinnamon sticks in a pan and add 3 c. water and 1 c. sugar. Simmer on low for 1 ½ hours, or until reduced by half. Let cool with cinnamon sticks in pan. Strain into clean jar and keep refrigerated until needed.

Is cinnamon syrup like vanilla syrup that you buy in the coffee section of the grocery? This sounds so yummy!
